I made a recording of myself improvising on saxophone and took part of the recording and notated the sounds as shapes and colours that vaguely followed a traditional linear musical score. I then used this drawing to inform a set of blocks, each object referring to a note from the original performance.
I am interested in how the information of the performance changes in translation as it becomes physical. Are the objects congruent to the original performance or is something lost, gained or changed during this process?
